The end of nursery…

It is strange, we have known Woody’s final nursery date for ages. August 23rd 2019. We have all been totally fine about this. Sad that it is the end of an era, but excited for the adventure school will bring. Also, it’s not like we are leaving the nursery as Arlo will still be there for another 2 years. This morning though there were a few more emotions than this!!! Woody kept saying excitedly that it was his last day at nursery, but at the same time was shouting and hitting a lot… I figured this meant he was a bit nervous/ anxious / sad. We got sorted and headed out of the house – taking a picture to remember his last day:

On the way to nursery I got all emotional and had little tears…

Woody started nursery on 6th July 2015 at the age of 7months. He did two days a week, Mondays and Tuesdays, for about 8 weeks, before starting full time. He has grown up there, and has just done so well. He is a smart, sociable little boy and the nursery have helped him become this. The staff have been and are amazing. Feeling like the nursery is an extension of our home has been so important to me, knowing that the boys are there 5 days a week whilst we work.

So yes, a lot of these thoughts, and memories of the little boy we dropped off on his first day, made this morning a little emotional! But its all good, he is ready for school and is going to be brilliant there!!
